Archaeology Explorers July 2016
Ten students, aged 10 to 14, joined Peabody Museum archaeologists for a day of excavation at the site of Samuel Phillips's Mansion House. Excavation focused on outbuildings associated with the main house. Artifacts were typical of the 19th century and included lots of charcoal and slag, nails, pottery, glass, and a few unusual items, including part of a harmonica.
