Atlatl (Human Origins 2016)
Students in fall 2016's Human Origins course tried their hand at a Peabody perennial favorite--the atlatl. Atlatl is an Aztec word that describes a spear thrower or throwing board. The earliest of these weapons dates to 20,000 years ago in Upper Paleolithic France.
