Pecos Pueblo diorama, 1940
Artist Stuart Travis interpreted Alfred Vincent Kidder’s Pecos excavations in his diorama of the site, which features the site stratification and Kidder’s temporal sequence—along with numerous vignettes of life at the pueblo.
