Performing in Ireland
The Phillips Academy Chorus, Chamber Orchestra, and Fidelio, traveled to Ireland during Spring break and gave performances in Dublin, Bray, Glendalough, and Limerick. The 72 students and seven adults who went on the trip all had a great time. One resident of Ireland who attended a performance in Limerick was so impressed by what he saw that he wrote the following note to music instructor Christopher Walter, who headed the trip: “Today, my wife and I had the very great pleasure of hearing and seeing a group of young people who had the ability to light up a Cathedral which has stood in Limerick for over a thousand years. What a performance! What an example of all that is good about America. Well done and please give my congratulations to all involved.” (Photos by Derek Jacoby)Read More
