The View from the Bell Tower
Head of School John Palfrey and his son Jack took advantage of an unseasonably warm January day to take their first trip up to the top of the Memorial Bell Tower. They were actually tagging along with PA senior Rhea Lewis '13, who got permission to make the climb up as part of a homework assignment for Mrs. Scott's LIterature of Travel Writing class. The assignment required that she write a paper about a visit to some place on campus that she she had never been to before. Said Lewis of the visit, "Looking at our campus from above for the very first time, I felt so excited that I climbed the bell tower and explored the inside of this historical monument with our Head of School and my best friend before I graduated."
