Dr. Jane Goodall at Andover
Dr. Jane Goodall visited Phillips Academy on April 8, 2015, presenting to a sold-out Cochran Chapel on how to protect our natural world. She spoke about her time in Africa, how to inspire young children to make a difference and took questions from the audience. Gunga, PA's unofficial mascot made a surprise appearance at the conclusion of the Q&A to lead everyone in singing "Happy Birthday" to Dr. Goodall, who had just turned 82 earlier in the week. Afterwards she held a book signing and took pictures with the delighted crowd. Prior to her talk Dr. Goodall met with editors of the Phillipian and attended a reception with students from science classes and environmentally-focused campus clubs.
